Into the World of the Gods in the Deep Mountains
Hiking across Yakushima offers an emotional experience as you immerse yourself in nature, exploring the ancient forests and the sacred mountains where the gods are said to dwell. This tour follows a route starting from the popular Yodogawa Trailhead, passing through the highest peak in Kyushu, Mount Miyanoura (1,937m), and continuing on to Nagatadake(Route A) or Jomon Sugi (Route B) , with the option to visit the Shiratani Unsuikyo ravine if your fitness allows.
While a one-night, two-day traverse is common on Yakushima, a more relaxed 2-night, 3-day, or 3-night itinerary is reconmended. By surrendering your heart to the sunrise and sunset, and enjoying leisurely moments at Yodogawa and Mt.Kuromi, you can escape from your busy daily life and experience another world of Yakushima.
