A Hike Through the World Heritage Area to Encounter Sacred, Mysterious Rocks
The Tachudake Tour begins at Yakusugi Land and combines forest walking and hiking, allowing you to enjoy ancient forests, beautiful moss-covered landscapes, and trails alongside rivers. Standing at 1,574 meters, Taichūdake is one of Yakushima’s iconic mountains, offering panoramic views of the island’s mountains and the sea from the summit.
The top of the mountain also has the towering 40-meter rock, Tenchu-seki, which surprises visitors with its immense presence. This course involves significant elevation gain and requires good physical fitness, making it suitable for experienced hikers. It offers a profound opportunity to connect deeply with the natural beauty of Yakushima.

A cancellation charge will be waivered only if adverse weather prevents the guest from arriving to Yakushima, or adverse weather forces us to cancel the tour. Under all other circumstances if a the guest cancels a tour then cancellation charges apply.
